~Some Comments on the pictures:~

{Yes, that is a banana in my hand; I brought it specifically for that top picture;

they went absolutely wild for it and it was super entertaining}

{Despicable me is my favorite cartoon ever, so this theme was incredible}

{The minion costumes were one of the cutest things I had ever seen; the people costumes were just super creepy}

{I went to Super Silly Fun Land and bought myself a unicorn; the 10 year old in me is very happy}

I found this sweater online and had to get it immediately. I’m in love with Moschino however I don’t have $1000 to drop on a sponge bob sweater, so I had to settle for this. I don’t think it’s similar enough to be a knockoff, but the idea is the same. I thought this would be the perfect outfit for universal studios because they have a very whimsical theme there and of course there is a sponge bob there that I wanted to take a picture with. I suggest going to universal just for the minion ride, it was one of the cutest things I had ever experienced (the transformer ride is really fun as well). Last note about my outfit, the shoes are from Steve Madden and the pants are from Zara.

So this post was supposed to go up two weeks ago, but these past two weeks have been crazy and things kept getting in my way. First I had caught the flu, which was absolutely awful because I really get sick so this hit me hard. I had a fever of 108-109 for about three days, I wasn’t eating anything, it was just terrible. Then we had a trip planned to San Francisco for business reasons and it wasn’t something that I could’ve canceled, so while I was still feeling super weak I had to go to San Fran for four days (luckily my fever was gone by that point). It was still a really fun trip even though it was kind of difficult to walk around and sightsee and a lot of the time was spent watching TV or doing homework in the hotel. On top of all of this stuff classes had started that same week, I had missed most of the first week, and unfortunately for me this first week was not just reading the syllabus; all my classes gave A LOT of information so I had A LOT of catching up to do. So if I had been ignoring your emails, comments, texts, etc. I apologize but I’ve had a stressful past few weeks. School is my top priority, but I’m now ahead in all my classes and can get back to my regular schedule. Thanks for sticking around and being such lovely, supportive readers.

Xoxo,
Julia

  1. Oh my god, what an amazing experience! 🙂 You’re a lucky girl! 🙂 The pictures are just amazing and made me smile 🙂 Ow, and btw: I’m superjealous on your unicorn 🙂 Greets! x

  2. I suppose you have difficulty to speak Russian now due to long-term living in the USA, I might be wrong, but based on my own experience when I was at the Olympic Games in Sochi, 1,5 month, not really long time, but when I came back home I found myself speaking really slowly in Russian, as though I weren’t native at all and I had funny accent for quite a time but then of course, everything passed away but whatever. I am just wondering how do you find yourself speaking Russian when you mainly use only English?:)
