Phillip Lim for Target: My Experience

Hey guys! I wanted tell you about my experience with the Phillip Lim for Target collection. Yesterday morning I woke up around 630 and got to target around 720.  The parking lot was pretty empty so I felt a huge wave of relief, however when I got to the entrance I saw just how big the line was. It was long but I thought it might not be a problem; however having about 50 people in front of you and like 20 bags in the store doesn’t give you a good chance of getting a bag. The area designated for the collection was really small and it was really difficult to grab things. By the time we got to the area a lot of things were gone. The boom sweater that I really wanted wasn’t there anymore and the cheetah print blouse was gone as well. I was there with my mom and we managed to grab a lot of things from different locations. The bags were really disappointing because they told everyone to get in line for bags, but a lot nasty little girls who don’t play fair decided to push everyone out of the way and get like 10 bags each…. I thought it was extremely unfair; however, we got lucky and grabbed a cute bag and then were able to exchange that bag with another girl for an even cuter one that I really, really wanted. I learned some lessons for next time and I thought I’d share them with you: 1. Do not get a cart! A cart would make it so much easier to grab a bunch of things, right? Wrong! You can’t grab things if you’re struggling to maneuver the cart in the tiny area; we made that mistake. 2. Manners don’t really matter in these situations. While you’re being polite and trying not to push people around, the girls who left their manners outside are holding all the bags. This was like hunger games; you don’t fight, you don’t win. 3. Lastly you should really try to get there early because the first people in grabbed some really good stuff.

All I all, I think we got some really cute pieces and I’m really happy we went. I got the cute mustard bag (although it looked much bigger in the pictures) and a lot of other things which I will show you guy really soon in some upcoming posts. Did you buy anything cute from the Phillip Lim for Target collection? Tell me in the comments below! Thanks for reading! ❤

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target: My Picks

Hey guys so today I thought I’d share with you some items I really want to get from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection. I think this collection is gonna go really fast so I you want to get some pieces from it make sure you go the day it is released (this Sunday, September 15th).

First I’m going to start with the clothing I want. I loved a bunch of the pieces with the orange and blue cheetah print, especially the skirt and sweater (and the outfit in the picture below as well). I love the boom sweater; I love that its very classic Philip Lim and I really want to get it. The tiger sweater is also pretty cute; as is the trench coat in the top right. And I absolutely love the pattern in the bottom right corner; there are really cute things I want to get with that pattern in the picture below.

Now I love a lot of things in this picture. First I wanna say that all the outfits are incredibly cute and I would wear all of them. But the pieces I loved the most (and am really hoping to get) are the two outfits on the sides with the lovely patterns, and the dress (or is it shirt and skirt?) in the middle with the green sleeves. I was certain it was a dress but the outfit next to it has the same bottom, so now I’m not so sure, either way I want it.

I think the things I want most out of this collection is bags. I really want the two at the bottom, especially the mustard one. If I get nothing out of that store but the mustered bag, I’ll call the day a success.
